Boardwalk Empire (New HBO)

When it comes to television, HBO actually makes high quality entertainment worth watching (maybe not The Pacific....). Their newest show is a prohibition era gangster esce drama that takes place in Atlantic city entitled Boardwalk Empire. I love this time period (although I wished Public Enemies was a bit better) and I'm stoaked to see HBO has one of the writers from Sopranos. True Blood, Entourage, Boardwalk Empire; my plate is full.

Spielberg's The Pacfic (trailer)

I first heard about The Pacific a while ago when I tried to score a gig as an extra in one of the local shooting locations. Unfortunately my very short hair didn't meet the 1940's look, but I was definitely curious about the film.

I was stoaked to see the new trailer online today! The Pacific very much has the Band of Brothers feel, and truth be told is one of my all time favorite mini-series. A lot of big directors from HBO's other series (Rome, Six Feet Under, Band of Brothers, etc.) worked on The Pacific. In my mind the standard is set pretty high for this series, but I have a feeling it will deliver :)
