Battlefield 3: Tank Footage

More gems from E3, here is some great Battlefield 3 footage.  This is from an in game mission where you are driving the tank.

In the light of yesterday's post, I've come to an interesting conclusion about MW3 vs. BF3.  I think BF3 will really deliver in the Single Player department.  EA does a fantastic job at story telling through the single player medium.  The sense of realism and being "part" of the story are what makes the EA games some damned awesome.  On the flip side multiplayer seems to really be lacking in the past several EA titles.  The replay factor gets tired quickly, and the maps seem to not flow as well as the MW/COD style games.  My biggest gripe is the unlocking of new guns.  They are consistently crappy and under powered compared to the first guns you get early on.  I sincerely hope this is fixed by BF3's release.

MW3 I really am looking forward to the multiplayer.  The challenges, unlocks, upgrades, and new ranks really give the game a lot of life and replayability.  The single player version always looks pretty, but the story telling sucks.  It is kinda like any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies; overly complicated, large set pieces, and lots of CG.  I'm okay with that knowing what to expect, but I certainly hope for more in MW3.
