Colion Noir Provides Common Sense

Colion Noir is a smart dude, and I'm glad to see he is finally getting some media attention.  Check out these great responses he provides to the rhetoric that is common among the anti 2A folks:

The Only Possible Outcome Of Gun Registration

It isn't just happening here in sunny California; gun registration is taking place across the country.  Make no mistake, nothing good will come from gun registration.  There won't be armored vehicles cruising down the streets rounding up the guns of innocent law abiding citizens.  Those are just lies that are based in fear.  The folks that write these kinds of laws are all about slow calculated moves.  The long gun registartion bill that was passed in California was signed over three years ago, and is just now taking effect.  I saw this interesting news piece out of a Canadian press site about the passing of these awful laws in the states.

Wow, that clip from Obama at the beginning is awfully telling.  It is unfortunate that popular culture has give us incredibly short memory spans and people seem to forget and move on so quickly.  Stay vigilant folks...

Ted Cruz On Tonight Show: Gun Control

Ted Cruz recently had an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  I like Cruz and feel like he does a good job representing conservatives.  He raises some interesting stats about going after those trying to illegally purchase weapons during the Bush and Obama administrations. I certainly hope the government doesn't shut down again in February because the libs will find a way to blame the conservatives.  Enjoy the vid.

My Thoughts On The 2012 Election

Well, it's done kids; Obama is in for another four years.  Despite the panic, fear, and overall whiney sentiment I see on Facebook, this isn't the end of the world.  I'm on the email list for popular author Neil Strauss (The Game, Emergency: This Book Will Save Your Life, Everyone Loves You When You're Dead) and he  said this a few days ago (emphasis mine):

Every four years, we vote for a candidate we hope can solve our problems. And a few years later, no matter whose candidate won, we end up disappointed and let down.

Because we pin our hopes for internal happiness on something external that has failed us repeatedly. You need to be responsible for your own destiny, and ready to survive, prosper, and excel, no matter what changes occur around you.

Sorry folks, life is your responsibility and not that of a president of United States.  Work hard, be diligent, and be ready when the great opportunities present themselves.  Stop whining and complaining and letting your fears get the best of you.  This election is just a subtle reminder to get things done make things happen.  As the good people at Ranger UP like to say "Don’t be upset by the result you didn’t get with the work you didn’t do.  You want it?  You build it."

I absolutely love Newsroom, and I highly recommend you watch the show.  When I was thinking about what I wanted to say in this post, I thought back to the Newsroom pilot.  Let's make this country great again, regardless of who sits in office.

I want Korea's Old Rifles!

I read about the liquidation of some vintage U.S. firearms like Garands and Carbines in an article from a Korean Newspaper.  Apparently Korea is sitting on upwards of 100,000 rifles, but the US administration hasn't approved of the sale.  The icing on the cake?  Suggested MSRP of the M1 Garand is $220 and the M1 Carbine is $140.  Those rifles at that amazing price point wouldn't last a second!
