COD: Black Ops New Multiplayer

I love Call of Duty.  Plainly stated it is still one of the best FPS franchises ever.  The developers have gone with some new ideas for the multiplayer section of the game which they have affectionately titled Wager Mode.  In this new style Wager Mode lets you bet with in game points if you can be in the top 3 players in this free for all match.  There are various sub modes within Wager Mode which define which weapons will be used. 

Although I'm very curious, I'm already concerned about the threat of douche bag hackers and the tied hands of the players abiding by the rules.  I hope Treyarch has figured out a way to let the players regulate themselves, or wager mode will be a severe pain in the ass.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 NEW TRAILER!

I'm really excited about Battlefield Bad Company 2!  This game will be available in March and beta testing through Steam in late February.  This new trailer really shows off the single player missions, and the story actually looks half decent!  I honestly think when this game drops, MW2 players will all hop on board.  Hell, maybe even dedicated servers will be available for BC2.

I've enjoyed the Call of Duty series of games since they first introduced the WWII first person shooters.  The games have gotten progressively better with a few minor hiccups here and there.  Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare was one of my favorites and a nice diversion away from WWII. Modern Warfare 2 is the new sequel and looks to be quite promising.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is currently available for preorder on Amazon and is slated to be released on November 10, 2009.
