Modern Warfare 2: Stimulus Package

When Battlefield Bad Company 2 dropped, tons of the MW2 fans jumped ship.  Listen folks, MW2 was a great game and I wasted spent many, many hours playing it.  Truth be told, like anything else, it gets a little tired.  The problems I've had with the game become more frustrating by the hour, and I really don't feel like taking the pointless prestige route.  There are only so many challenges you can do, and I think I've unlocked enough emblem pictures. 

So how does Infinity Ward respond to their clients leaving for another game?  The Stimulus Package!  A map pack sporting 5 new maps (two of them from the original Modern Warfare).... and that's it!  No new challenges, no new weapons, no new missions, simply maps.  All for the low, low price of $15.  Meh.  It is going to take a lot more than a few new maps to get me back.  Hell, if Infinity Ward would have spent that effort on banning hackers I might possibly consider it. 

The other fear I have for this expansion is that the new maps would never be accessible.  Why you might ask?  Because you can't effing pick a map in MW2!  The server will randomly pick maps for you, thus the new maps you paid for will be at a random selection process with the maps you've already played the hell out of!  Infinity Ward, I really hope you can get your ducks in a row before MW3.  As for now, BC2 is my winner.

Bad Company 2: Grenade PSA

Well kids, I hope by now you have picked up your copy of Battlefield Bad Company 2.  It is a ton of fun to play, and you can catch my full and detailed review at Gear Patrol.  The comparison between BC2 and Modern Warfare 2 continues to rage on.  Truth be told, they are quite different games, but as two FPS giants in the gaming world competition arises.  BC2 threw in a few subtle jabs throughout the first person campaign.  References to snowmobile races as well as this quote:

They [Military] are just going to send those Special Forces douche bags with heart beat sensors on their rifles.

The newest stab at MW2 has materialized in the form of a new PSA against grenade spamming.

Hats off EA, BC2 has replaced my love of MW2.  Best thing yet?  I have yet to see a hacker in BC2!!!!!

Modern Warfare 2: Best Game Ever

As I have said MANY, MANY, times before Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be the best FPS to date.  Check out this new clip showing off some multi player action.  Please note that near the end of the video there is an EPIC knife throw kill!  Also, they show off a cool new feature of having a host drop out and a new one is selected ASAP!

CODMW2: AC130 Killstreak

The good people at Infinity Ward have really out done themselves.  Call of Duty Modern Warfare was such an epic game and although I've seen a few trailers for the sequel, this video is one of my favorites.  Once you get a kill streak, there is nothing like upping the numbers by releasing a horde of rabid attack dogs by pwning n00bs with AC130.  It also looks like you'll be able to "stick" frag grenades to folks as well.  With the release of Left 4 Dead 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 I may not leave my computer for the month of November.
