Quebec Police vs Calf (Shooting)

I guess things get handled differently in Quebec... I'm not sure of all the details surrounding this calf on a rampage but it looks like it might be charging directly walking briskly by the police.  How do you stop such a beast?  Well, it sure as hell isn't with a 9mm (or possibly .40sw?) handgun. It is with a .22 long rifle, or Javier Bardem sporting a bad hair cut!  I've known several folks who have fattened up a cow about that size, and when the butcher came to take it off to the Bovine University he used .22 rifle.  Placed at the cow's head at short range, a simple squeeze was all it took to bring down the future burger.

This video is almost comical how these Canadian officers handled the cow.  The first officer damn near dumps a magazine into the ass end of the calf as it trots away injured.  The calf is panting hard and limping next to the side of the road.  In a Benny Hill-esce sketch, three cars chase the calf down.  How about those close range shots?  Directly in the front hoof!  What an epic fail! The cop calls for back up and the hunt continues down the street.

11 Year Old Girl Defends Home with Pink Rifle

This 11 year old girl was home alone (her cousin took off for a quick errand) and 3 masked teenagers came over to break in the house.  She grabbed her mom's pink bolt action .22 and defended the home.  Apparently there were only two rounds close by, but she still cleared the house and made sure they didn't come in.

Moral of the story: Keep more ammunition near by

Top Gear Biathlon Drive By

A lot of crappy American shows are birthed in British roots.  Creative Lazy Hollywood exec's figure that if it did well with the limeys across the pond they can make an American version that will do amazingly well.  Shows such as The Office, American Idol, and Dancing With the Stars all came from the Brits.  WHY THE HELL ISN'T THERE AN AMERICAN TOP GEAR!?!?  I love watching Top Gear and a US version would be epic.  A pilot was shot some years back featuring Adam Carolla but never came to light.

Enough with my limey ramblings.  Top Gear is a bad ass show and they take a new twist on the biathlon by using SUV's and MP5's versus skiis and .22's.  Enjoy :)
