Helicopter Goat Sniper

Shooting from a helicopter is tough work.  There is a lot of vibration and you are hanging outside the door of the chopper.  Hunting from a helicopter is kind of a newer thing, but it was actually being used to protect the environment not that long ago.

Do you listen to that podcast Radio Lab?  They did a great episode on the Galapagos islands and their history.  Part of the problem these islands were having was that when sailors and fisherman visited a few hundred years ago they left some goats behind.  The goats were not natural to that land and destroyed the habitat of the island's giant tortoises.  With no natural predators the goats had to be taken out and one of the easiest ways was to use a sniper.  Check out this short clip below:

That guy was pretty good!  Those looked like clean kill shots and he let those goats know who was boss!
